Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Lara Events LLC ("we," "us," "our") operates the Bookd platform, an AI-powered customer relationship management (CRM) and business management platform for event planning professionals. Our services include:

AI-powered chatbot for client inquiries and booking assistance
Client relationship management and pipeline tracking
Service agreement generation and digital signing
Invoice creation, payment processing, and financial tracking
Event calendar management and workspace coordination
Quality monitoring and AI improvement pipeline

2. User Responsibilities

By using our services, you agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account or submitting inquiries
Use the platform only for lawful purposes related to event planning and business management
Not attempt to abuse, manipulate, or exploit the AI chatbot or any automated features
Not impersonate other users or provide false information to obtain services
Keep your account credentials secure and notify us of any unauthorized access
Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws

3. Payment Terms

All payments are processed securely through Stripe
Event deposits are due at the time of agreement signing unless otherwise specified
Remaining balances are due as specified in your service agreement
Late payments may be subject to late fees as outlined in your agreement
Refund policy: Deposits are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by Lara Events. Refunds for other payments are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 48 hours of payment for refund requests.
For platform subscription services (Bookd SaaS), billing occurs monthly or annually as selected. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of your billing period.

4. Intellectual Property

The Bookd platform, including its design, code, AI models, and content, is the intellectual property of Lara Events LLC
You retain ownership of all content you upload or create through the platform (client data, agreements, invoices)
You grant us a limited license to process your content as necessary to provide our services
AI-generated responses and recommendations are provided as-is and should be reviewed before client-facing use

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
We are not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated responses, pricing information, or recommendations — users should verify all information before communicating it to clients
We are not liable for issues arising from third-party services (Stripe, email delivery, etc.)

6. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time with 30 days written notice
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for violation of these terms
Upon termination, you may request an export of your data within 30 days
After the 30-day export period, your data will be permanently deleted from our systems
Sections regarding liability, intellectual property, and governing law survive termination

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the platform. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
